On the first Friday of each month, beginning Feb. 5, families can bring their own dinner for a get-together at 5:15 p.m. The regular First Friday service, beginning at 6 p.m. will be a full Friday evening Shabbat service for all generations with the addition of a special storytelling and music component for children 7 and under. This service also includes a monthly birthday blessing. Future First Friday services will be held on March 5, April 2 (no dinner), and May 7.

 

Beginning on February 20, Shaare Emeth will offer a Tot Shabbat experience designed for children ages five and under. On the third Saturday morning of each month, from 9:30-10:15 a.m., we will sing, dance, hear a story, and share in a special project and snack that will help the youngest members of our family understand the joy of celebrating Shabbat together. Future Tot Shabbat services will be held on 3/20, 4/17, and 5/15.
